It's the opposite actually. I sculpt it whole first and then cut the parts to be detailed afterwards.

Thanks for your answer! I work with clays as a hobby, and had never heard of wax sculpting. Seems really interesting, and you're obviously very talented. The sculptures are really beautiful, and the demon girl concept is very appealing to me.

Yes. There are detail work need to be done, and the figure needs to be moulded and cast, then paint, so it still got ways to go.
